Laminate countertops are known for their durability, but even under ideal circumstances, the damage occurs. Over the years, holding the rolled scratches, nicks and cuts. These are not as noticeable. Sprinkle a generous amount on the burn mark abrasive cleaner such as Ajax. Add 1 tablespoon of water to form a paste. Rub the burned area with a scourer. The steel wool pads work well. Continue rubbing until the burn mark visibly dissolves. Rinse the cleaner using a cloth and clean water. Apply a small amount of carnauba wax to the counter and polished with a soft cloth until it shines.

Fills the hole burnt with a mixture of epoxy resin that matches the color of the counter as much as possible. Smoothes the surface and let the epoxy filler to dry. Lightly sand the repaired area to level the surface. Clean the area with a damp cloth. Apply a sealant laminate countertops with a clean cloth.
